Andrew Michael Kish III is a nationally recognized award winning Fine Artist in the Lehigh Valley, with works in both public and private collections worldwide. Andrew received his Bachelor’s degree from Kutztown University in Fine Arts and currently is a resident artist at the Banana Factory in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Andrew’s dynamic style incorporates meticulous realism with anomalous compositions, offering a refreshing look at contemporary painting.
Andrew’s paintings evoke a mind sweeping effect. Focusing either on the figure or the situation, weaving a tale of metaphoric secrets to be discovered. Each painting is crafted with precision and purposeful detail, creating a sublime realism, a dreamlike account of an experience, a memory, or perhaps even a thought. Andrew’s work emphasizes the exploration of the human experience. It offers his unique perspective that we may sometimes overlook, and brings forth new light and a sense of mysterious intrigue through his use of vivid colors and textures. His work raises questions that may not currently have an answer. They are handled in a way that reach the viewer on a level reminiscent of déjà vu; a feeling of belonging and understanding without any inclination as to why.
Andrew is constantly challenging himself with various avenues of expression. He also teaches various drawing and painting techniques to children as well as adults of all ages, and executes 3 to 4 public murals a year, while also working on various commissions. Andrew is a signature member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Watercolor societies and regularly exhibits along the East Coast. Andrew currently represents himself out of his studio in Bethlehem, Pa. His energy, passion, innovative perspective, and technical expertise bring a unique style to fine art painting. The viewer has no choice but to be moved by Andrew’s painting, a truly refreshing and revitalizing experience.
